Digitalisation in the battery industry
“Over the next 10 years, we’ll reach a point where nearly everything has become digitised.”
Satya Nadella, CEO of Microsoft
Digitalisation is a topic that has accompanied us for many years. Even more so in times of the Corona pandemic. Digitalisation enables a significant increase in efficiency and thus an improvement in profitability.
Why is digitalisation so important?
Digitalisation is creating completely new paths that did not exist before. New technological advances are creating new jobs, globalising societies and markets and disruptively breaking down entrenched, conservative structures.
The art is to swim along on the wave of digitalisation and to use the opportunities and possibilities. Old thought patterns and structures should be reconsidered and adapted to the new possibilities.
Those who do not join in will be overtaken. Kodak and Toys “R” Us can tell you a thing or two about it.
Digitisation is more important than ever. It is important to deal with it and prepare oneself for the possibilities of a digital future.
We live in a world that is drowning in data. We have the choice to continue to ignore it and dismiss it as big noise or to use it.
How far along are you with the digitization of your battery application?
